The charm of Schenna Castle and a journey into the world of gin
On 2 May 2026, the elegant interior rooms and historic cellars of Castel Schenna will be transformed into a veritable temple of gin. Here, South Tyrol’s finest producers will welcome visitors on a sensory journey that goes beyond a simple tasting, offering the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of the production techniques and characteristics that make each gin unique.
From 4 pm to 9 pm, The castle is the perfect place to discover new brands, be surprised by unexpected aromas and purchase exclusive bottles directly from the producers. An immersive experience, designed both for those trying this spirit for the first time and for those who are already enthusiasts.
A festival that comes alive with performances and music
As evening falls, the atmosphere becomes even livelier. The castle’s inner courtyard comes alive with shows and performances that transform the festival into a real open-air party. DJs keep the crowd entertained until midnight, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere.
Flair bartending shows captivate audiences with spectacular moves and creative cocktails, whilst the renowned G&T Award adds a touch of competition and fun. Among the most striking moments is the “Hyper Glow – LED & Flair Show”, a blend of lights, technology and artistic performance that transports the audience into a futuristic dimension, never before seen in South Tyrol.
Schenna Gin Days: a week of GINtastic experiences
The festival marks the culmination of Schenna Gin Days, a week entirely dedicated to the gin that brings the region to life from 26 April to 3 May 2026. Over the next few days, Scena will become a hub for anyone wishing to explore the world of gin through a variety of engaging experiences.
Culinary tastings, entertainment, live music and educational events such as masterclasses and workshops enrich the programme, offering a complete immersion in this fascinating world. It is the perfect opportunity to experience the region in an authentic way, through flavours, encounters and new discoveries.

The “CAUSE I’M G&T” Gin Festival takes place at Castel Schenna and is exclusively for those aged 18 and over. The castle is easily accessible both by public transport – thanks to bus route 231 from Merano, which stops just a short walk away – and by car, with parking available nearby.

The price of ticket Early Bird, valid until 20 April 2026, costs €38.00, whilst the ticket Regular It costs €40.00. The ticket includes admission to the event, a tasting session and two gin tokens, with a total value of €8.00.
The event will go ahead even in the event of bad weather, although some activities may be subject to change. Please note that tickets are non-refundable and that access to certain areas of the venue may be restricted.
