Torta della Zitella in Festa

On Tuesday 16 June 2026, Cervia celebrates flavour, tradition and music with ‘Torta della Zitella in Festa’, the event that brings the Riviera dei Pini in Tagliata to life with an evening dedicated to one of the most original traditional desserts from Cervia.

From 8.00 pm, Viale Italia will host a festival combining authentic flavours, conviviality and musical entertainment, drawing residents and visitors into a lively and welcoming summer atmosphere.

The star of the show will be the famous Torta della Zitella, a special dessert created by the students and teachers of the Tonino Guerra Hotel School in Cervia as a gastronomic symbol of the Sposalizio del Mare. The recipe combines almond flour, pine nuts, sponge cake soaked in Alchermes liqueur and blackberry jam, creating a unique and distinctive balance of flavours.

For the occasion, local bakeries will combine their expertise and tradition to create a special cake with the aim of setting a new record, turning the evening into a true celebration of flavour.

Alongside food and wine, there will also be live music with a concert by I Pitoni and the vocals of Gigi Lunedei, a finalist on The Voice 2025, ready to engage the audience with a show brimming with energy and fun.

“Torta della Zitella in Festa” is therefore the perfect event to experience the Romagna summer amidst sweet traditions, music and conviviality by the sea.
